As a Managing Partner at First Landing Financial, Matt takes charge of assisting business owners and committee members with issues relating to plan design. He helps create plans that are effective for the employees and are designed with consideration to an organizations’ fiduciary liability. He also works with individual employees of an organization to help them understand the retirement plan available and how to utilize it to help maximize their benefits.
Matt has been in the financial industry for over 12 years and comes with experience working at Merrill Lynch, a large financial institution. He has taken what he learned there and uses it to provide independent advice and guidance to the employees and companies the firm works with, many of whom have never had the chance to work with a professional advisor.
Matt holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, his Life and Health insurance license and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor. These designations allow Matt to act as an advisor over his client's retirement accounts.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, and music. He is actively involved in community organizations like The Neptune Festival and the Virginia Gentlemen. He also regularly participates in fundraising activities for the Alzheimer’s Association.
